Check out my YouTube video: "Is Eastern Orthodoxy the New move?"
There are many Protestants moving towards EO but there are also many coming BACK to Protestantism because they found out what's behind the glam-bam, bling-blam; holy murals and cool garb!
The EO Church doesn't believe in the fallenness of man the way Protestants do.
They don't believe in Christ's atonement the same way.
Baptism and Salvation outside the EO church is not allowed... but it is, but not really. Yet, they don't believe in an "invisible" Church. It's complicated!
(This blog / video thread will keep growing so be sure to revisit for new video additions.)

A BIBLICAL ANALYSIS OF THE EASTERN ORTHODOX CHURCH - Part 1
PART 2:
=========================
Here's the account of Cyril Lucaris, an Eastern Orthodox who dared to go purely orthodox and apostolic, and was treated equally as his Master, Jesus before pharisees.

What Did They Get WRONG? Orthodox VS Stuart & Cliffe Knechtle
*There's nothing more apostolic than The Word of God.
*There is nothing infallible but the Word of God.
*The ultimate authority is The Word of God.

EO vs. Protestant Apologist, Matt Slick:
Another Matt Slick debate that later turns into a real dumpster fire.
Notice how the Roman Catholic can't stick to the agreed-upon debate topic, and immediately wants to appeal to the supposed infallibility of extra-Biblical sources.
=================
On The following video/podcast, Dr. James White and Pastor Jeff Durbin discuss the major problems with the Roman Catholic Church's stance on doctrines (in this case, the doctrine of eternal security but also other doctrines) where apostolic churches (in general) must regard tradition (as well as Church fathers and ecumenical church councils) as infallible instead of acknowledging that scripture alone is infallible, and sufficient as God's revelational truth.

EO Body Snatchers!
(New converts to EO. How do they fall for such bad, bad arguments?)
My critics just don't get it... but do we expect that they will? Nahhh!

On this Resurrection Day, I thought it would be interesting to go into our confession of faith to study on resurrection and the state of man after death.
-The Soul/Spirit is used interchangeably in scripture. Man is flesh and spirit/soul. Death is separation, not an end to existence. (i.e. "The soul that sins shall die"); Adam died spiritually when he sinned against God, and his soul/spirit was separated from God; as well as physically kicked out of the garden.
-The destination of the souls of the righteous and the wicked experience different realms. The righteous are in paradise awaiting the redemption of their bodies in God's presence but the wicked are in utter darkness awaiting the final judgment which will take place on a day appointed by God.
We're revisiting Gnosticism. Responding to those who in their desperation to escape the Biblical truth concerning the doctrines of grace, have nothing left but to call Reformed theology, Gnostic, Nestorian, Anti-Trinitarian even! "When in doubt, accuse them of Gnosticism!"
Let's talk.

Today's YouTube Premiere:
"The Atonement OFFENDS CHRISTIANS?"
4:30pm EST.
The ONLY HISTORICAL TRUTH of what happen on the cross (for our sins) to Christ, by God, The Father, and WHY it happen will forever BEST be illustrated IN SCRIPTURE and SCRIPTURE ALONE.
What some Christians say "CHURCH HISTORY" teaches or taught of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ; His atonement, etc. is ONLY PART OF THE STORY. Sadly, they lost the message of WHY Christ had to die; HOW bloody the sacrifice for sins actually was for hundreds of years in ancient Israel, etc. somewhere down the corridors of history, the most important aspects of the atonement was lost.
Like Israel, they lost the connection to the Old Testament atonement with its bloody sacrificial system for hundreds of years.
